Many guests stayed at La Casa Rosa after Christmas and New Year functions, prefering to take a safe approach and not venture onto the roads. One group of ladies had a wonderful night out at the Royal on the Waterfont which is just a 5 minute stroll. Another group attended an exclusive function held by the riverside in East Perth.

No, but only a five minute stroll away as our honeymoon couple from Queensland discovered. They took our advise and visited a small area near the Swan River where you can enter a nature enclosure at NO COST and there they were pleasantly surprised by a number of very friendly Kangaroos which allowed them to get close up and friendly while they took many photos.

Returning once again from Tasmania to Perths La Casa Rosa was David and his lovely wife Gail. Last time we hosted this couple at our B&B they were to joined a cruise liner going up the Western Australia coast to teach dancing to the cruise guests. This time David was singing with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra Chorus and WASO at the Perth Concert Hall. We attented “A Night at the Proms” and both agreed it was a wonderful nights entertainment. There were two stars on the night, one being Giulio Plotino the new violinist with WASO and of course David. Well done David you star!!

We have to say after only 2 years in the Bed and Breakfast business, we are constantly amazed at the wonderful and varied guests we have stay at our B&B. Recently Tom and Janet have reminded us that we are very privileged to share our home with many interesting travelers and corporate people. Tom is a retired doctor and was happy to share some humorous travel stories over breakfast each day.

Alfredo and his charming wife Gabriela who are with the Venezuela Embassy in Singapore recently visited our Bed and Breakfast. They enjoyed the free Yellow Cat Free Bus service and visited the sights of Perth and Fremantle and enjoyed meals at our local restaurants such as the Royal Bar and Brasserie which overlooks The Swan River. From here they hired a car and ventured down to the South West on a path we had recently taken, to visit the beautiful old Forests, Vineyards and many tourist attractions.

They are both keen kite surfers and have been traveling up and down the Western Australian Coast enjoying our great beaches. They enjoyed a few romantic warm evenings on our balcony. We will see you when you return.

British Broadcaster Visits Perths La Casa Rosa

Prominent British Broadcaster Romilly Paradine and her husband a noted antique dealer have been resent visitors at our Perth B&B and took advantage of the wonderful weather in Western Australia before venturing south to Denmark to attend John’s sons wedding. We found talking Romilly over breakfast was very interesting as she had interviewed many famous people on radio including our own Australian Mel Gibson.

We have just had Rod and Gill staying at our B&B for 8 days on their way to Melbourne to visit their son and daughter inlaw and 2 grand children. This couple from Bournemouth, Dorset on the south coast of England were well organized and saw all of Perth and its surounding area and also ventured down to the Margaret River region where they tasted some fantastic wines. We had an interesting time as the English cricketers gave the Aussies a good leson during their stay. They are going to be one of the many at the Gabba on Boxing day to cheer their team on with hope of the Ashes going back to England.

Newly weds at Perths La Casa Rosa

The beautiflul bride suprised us at the door of our B&B, dressed in a long silk gown which she had designed in Thialand. The happy couple enjoyed a quiet evening on our balcony overlooking the exciting Royal Street and had been gifted a honeymoon evening in our very romatic Italian designer luxury suite along with a tasty breakfast served on the balcony. Malcolm and Sharmane were married in the Burswood Park. Best wishes to the happy couple.
